District Manager District managers will perform a variety of tasks within the certain region in which they are assigned to operate. Most often they will coordinate, schedule, and supervise the activities of the strip/wax crew and all custodians. They will assign tasks and inspect work that has been completed by both cleaning parties. They will be responsible for the management of all cleaning supplies in ensuring that supplies on hand are adequate for all future jobs. District managers will participate in screening and hiring of job applicants; train new and experienced employees; and recommend promotions, transfers, or dismissals. They will also prepare reports relating to job production, expenses, disciplinary documentation, new hire application forms, supply registries, vehicle mileage/gas logs and termination letters. District managers, at times, will perform cleaning duties for emergency fill-in situations. The district manager will report directly to the general manager of the company.
